Rippa Electric Forklift Winter Maintenance Guide
When temperatures are low in winter, the performance of electric forklifts may be affected to a certain extent, especially the service life and efficiency of the battery. Proper maintenance can not only ensure the stable operation of the equipment in cold environments, but also significantly extend its service life. The following will introduce the winter maintenance methods of electric forklifts and the advantages of Rippa electric forklifts in winter.
1、Key points of winter maintenance for electric forklifts
1) battery insulation management
Low temperature will significantly affect the battery's storage capacity and charging efficiency. It is recommended to store the forklift in a warm indoor environment when parking, or add a special insulation cover for the battery.
In extremely cold environments, you can choose to equip the battery with a heating device to ensure that the battery is always within the appropriate operating temperature range (10°C~30°C).
2) Check the battery status regularly
Before winter, check the battery connection wires and interfaces thoroughly to ensure that there is no corrosion, looseness or aging.
Check the battery liquid level every week to ensure that the liquid level is within the normal range. If you need to add, you must use distilled water, do not add tap water or mineral water at will.
3) Optimize the charging process
In winter, avoid charging in low temperature environments. It is recommended to charge indoors or heat the battery in advance.
The charging time should be strictly in accordance with the instructions to avoid overcharging or undercharging. Complete deep charging regularly to maintain battery capacity.
2. How to extend the battery life
Rippa electric forklifts use batteries from world-renowned brands (such as Panasonic, CATL, etc.), which have the characteristics of high energy density, strong cold resistance and high stability. The following measures can further extend its service life:
1) Avoid deep discharge
Deep discharge (battery charge less than 20%) will cause irreversible damage to the battery. It is recommended to charge the battery in time when the battery charge is less than 30%.
2) Regular balanced charging
Balanced charging can repair the imbalance inside the battery and improve battery performance and service life. It is recommended to perform it once a month.
3) Pay attention to the charging environment and equipment
Use original charging equipment and ensure that the charging environment temperature is stable to prevent the battery from overheating or overcooling.
